Obituary of Calvin Wimberly

Calvin Wimberly, 76, of Winter Haven passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center after a fall at his home. Born September 19, 1937 in Whigham, Georgia he moved to Winter Haven in 1955. He was a Brickmason and carpenter and was a member of Westwood Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Haven. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mellie Wimberly and a brother, Leonard Wimberly, Sr.. Calvin is survived by: his wife, Hazel, of 52 years; a son Rodney Calvin Wimberly and his wife Shannon of Lakeland; 3 daughters, Tammy D. Stone of Lakeland; Lisa C. McNair and her husband Brian of Auburndale and Linda D. Waters and her husband Shannon of Bartow; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Stone, Keith Stone, Rodney Calvin Wimberly, II, Alyssa Wimberly, Coby Moore, Jordan McNair, Garrett McNair, Hailey McNair, Lindzi Waters, Harlee Waters and Kody Waters; and 2 great grandchildren, Bryce Wimberly and Wyatt Rowland; 4 brothers, Clifford, James, Ray and David Wimberly all of Auburndale; 4 sisters, Lucille Greene of Lake Alfred,and Mary Ward, Melanie Harrell and Nona Wimberly all of Auburndale. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at the Westwood Missionary Baptist Church, 3210 Ave. G, NW, Winter Haven.
